The Geographical Society of NSW respects your privacy. Protecting your personal information is important to us. Although the Society is not covered by the requirements of the new Commonwealth Privacy Laws (having a turnover of less than $3 million and not liable under any other provision) we believe it is important we meet the guidelines laid down in the new laws. We will not disclose personal information concerning you, including your email address, to outside parties in accordance with the requirements of the NSW Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act. Information we collect is used to ensure that your status as a financial member is recorded, to send you print and electronic mail outs, and to keep you up to date with various activities provided by the GSNSW.
The membership details are strictly confidential. We do not make them available to any outside organisation or allow any person except designated office personnel and Committee members to consult them. If you require any further information on the personal details that the Society holds and how it is managed please contact our Office Manager.
